Benjamin Magondu
Georgia Tech Academic Lead
Ben is a third year biomedical Engineering PhD, investigating methods for automation in patch clamp electrophysiology for Alzheimer’s disease in Dr. Craig Forest’s Lab. He currently is exploring computer vision models to enable closed loop control of electrophysiological recordings of single neurons. Simultaneously, he is investigating whether early circuit dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease is a potentially valid marker for progression. Originally from Savannah GA, Ben has completed his B.S. in BME from Georgia Tech. When not researching, Ben spends his time rock climbing, running and weightlifting.
